I know there are a lot of excellent astro-imagers on this forum who display their images on sites like astrobin or their own web sites. A friend of mine who doesn't post much and who I think is an excellent astro-imager has come up with a novel way to display his images. Dave has the traditional image gallery ( which also has a zoom lens tool) like everyone else. He also has a large image of the Milky Way which is not that unusual. What I think is different about his Milky Way image is the fact that he has imbedded links to individual images he has taken of objects located within our Milky Way. This gives a nice perspective of the many deep sky objects commonly imaged. I think the most unique feature of his web site is his 3D Universe. This feature allows one to start at Earth to get a view of our solar system, then move out to a view of our galaxy and finally all the way out to the universe. At each level you can rotate in 3 dimensions to view each (solar system, our galaxy, the universe) from any 3D perspective where he has objects he has imaged labeled. And, of course he has embedded links to his images at each level. I encourage folks to take a look. Dave would appreciate feedback as well so he can improve the experience.

Please note, the site is no optimized for mobile applications at this point.
