I managed to capture quite a few red sprites last night looking north from southern Minnesota. These were above a very strong thunderstorm in northern Minnesota.

These are some of the more interesting ones.

Frames taken from video. Uncropped using a Sony A7s III and a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 art lens.

I live in a perfect place to see jets, sprite, ect out over the plains and still have not tried shooting them so a MASSIVE kudos to you with thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you! It took me many attempts to get my first. Opportunities are rare here since often when there's a close enough storm clouds are in the way. I knew last night had potential when I saw the forecast for clear skies here with the convective outlook showing an enhanced risk for northern Minnesota/North Dakota.
