Very dark edges and bright haze center.Using my SCT w/reducer with the ASI 2600mc pro. Exp is 60sec and zero gain. Sensor temp is +5. No moon out and humidity is appx76% with 25-30%cloud cover. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Is this a sensor temp issue?

Did you use Flats to process this image? The ASI2600 Pro is a big sensor, so you will expect some vignetting.

This was just a screenshot shot of my capturing..no processing done. I do have some flats I plan to use in PI when I do. Should I turn on to use flats in Sharpcap while I'm capturing? Right now it's turned off and was just gonna use it post.
Forgot to mention I also had the glass heater for the sensor on, but just turned it off.

AEP64,
In Sharpcap Live Stack, apply the flats and even darks if you take darks. Sharpcap live stack is a great tool, can produce a very nice picture. You can do processing as the picture develops, limited but pretty decent processing. Let it run an hour or two or more.
Out of curiosity, what was your cooling power running at?? Also, if after applying flats, and that should work, check to see if your camera window dew heater is on.
I learned DSO imaging on Live Stack, I swear by that tool. I mostly run my cameras, all OSC, at 0 Celsius. I'm in TN, and 0 Gain, offset is 30 - 50. I say mostly, that's 99.44% of the time. Power consumption for me is 40% - 70%, depending on night temps.

At +5 degrees, tonight, the cooling is running appx 50%. My offset is at 50.

Well, interesting enough I just switched targets as the previous was getting to low and the image view is stacking normal. Not seeing the haze so I ckd my template and I have darks and flats being applied while capturing in Sharpcap. Maybe it was just the issue of not doing that for the first target or my sensor has settled. I have not looked at the individual raw images yet for the first target to see if it had gotten better or not. Don't like messing with it while I'm still capturing. I will ck it tomorrow though.

That's all I was asking about, how it looked in the live stack window - as it is being stacked. If it looked good there everything should be okay. In Live Stack you can move the histogram around, adjust colors, lots of stuff while it is capturing. When you save it will ask, save as seen, save with adjustments and so forth.

Unity gain for the 2600 is 100. Also I see you have CAA on your rigs - I have not figured out how to fit one to my SCT with a filter wheel and OAG. I guess you have a guide scope and no OAG? Do you have the right back space for the Starizona reducer?

Correct, no OAG. I do have the correct backspace. I had asked Starizona what I needed and they said an adapter ..think it is 4mm..would have to double ck, but it works.

On the first target after 2 hours it still looked like it did initially as far as the haze in the target area and dark skies around it. Not having that at all on 2nd target. First target was Owl Nebula and 2nd is Ring Nebula.

SharpCap has plenty setting to to forget about during sessions. Best to set up your preferred settings and save the configuration file. Looks like the might be a white balance auto activated. Find this only works for planetary or the colour correction on the histogram tab.

Just guessing, sky glow or your flats were not working / being applied even though you checked the box to have them applied. That happens sometimes. If sky glow, I would think that would lessen with shorter exposures.
Thanks, Joe
