I have a chance to get hold of the Meade branded version of the well regarded 30mm UFF eyepiece at a very nice price.

 

Are there any downsides to the Meade version of this eyepiece over the APM / Stellalyra / Celestron etc, etc branded versions ?

Styling? It might be a little heavier. Inside it is the same eyepiece so it is really just cosmetic differences, perhaps some extra grams of weight.
