I am using my Canon R6 Mark II for the first time with NINA using a 24-105mm zoom lens. I have my lens set at 105mm and I am using ASTAP for Platesolving. I am getting an error message ASTAP - Plate solve failed. Large FOV, use G05 (v05) database! Not enough Stars. I believe I downloaded the ASTAP D50 database and it works fine with my ZWO dedicated astronomy cameras on my telescopes but not with this mirrorless camera. I guess it makes sense that using my zoom lens at 105mm that I am going to pick up a very large FOV and platesolver needs a database with more stars I guess? Is ASTAP ok to use with these type of cameras or should I be looking at using Platesolve2 etc? I am also trying to use the NINA 3 point polar alignment and that also fails with a platesolve failed message probably because of the same problem.

In ASTAP there's auto setting for selecting which database to use.
So you can have several star databases.

I will give that a shot. I loaded the G05 database with the existing D50 database and I changed the ASTAP setting in stack to 'Auto'

Just load the database for larger fov as suggested and you should be good.
In ASTAP there's auto setting for selecting which database to use.
So you can have several star databases.
I added the G05 database and that resolved my problem. Thank You.
But I now have a new error message during Plate Solving:

Just warning. Set your fl setting in NINA @ 112mm.
I was thinking about doing that. Thank You.
