Been looking for information on this for the past 30 minutes.

I did come across this post:

https://www.cloudyni...l-bar-problems/

If I were to add the Celestron narrow dovetail bar on top of the OTA, would it come with the necassary hardware (it says comes with all required hardware on site) to fit those two holes in back, circled in RED.

I know the guy had an 8 in the above post, but curious if the narrow would fit on the C9, on the top?

Or are the two holes made for the wider dovetail bar?

Also, if I remove that finder scope, will I need a different set of screws (in orange on the pic)?  If so, anyone know where we can buy spare screws for the OTA?  I did not see them on the Celestron site.

And finally, as I can't find any info on this either....does the SSAG work on the narrow dovetail bar, or do you have to buy an adapter for that?

If you are curious what I am thinking about trying.....going to 3D print a mount for the HomeBrew.  Been looking for a spot to mount it and landed on the idea of adding a dovetail bar on top, which then led me to thinking about removing the SSAG mount and putting the autoguider on the dovetail as well to conserve wait.

Hi,

What you want is this:

https://www.highpoin...-orange-vc925-o

I have the one for my Celestron 8SE (works also with my Edge8HD), and it's awesome!

Any reason why that one over the Celestron?
It's double the price.

The ADM is solid aluminum. The Celestron is extruded, thin ribs.

I personally have never had a problem with the latter but some say it flexes.

YMMV

It fits.

Also, as Don W said, the Celestron one flexes.  I've seen it flex with my C8 on any mount!
