The QHY600M's ability to cool when the temperature is 80F is not so good. I am grateful for the limited (weather related) telescope time though.
Working the kinks out of the AP-140, reduced to F5.6 took a little doing. New guide camera introduced too.
Getting back to PI post processing, after 2.5 years away, has some growing pains, but I'm starting to enjoy it now. The image is ONLY stretched and pixelMath combined.
Targeting the Elephant Nebula, the clouds parted and 100 minutes of Ha and 120 minutes of Oiii were gathered over two nights.
Another hot, cloudless night is on tap, hopefully Sii and more Oiii can be captured.
Questions, criticism and comments welcome, thanks.
Steve
