I have an FLI Altlas focuser on my Newtonian astrograph. It's worked flawlessly until two nights ago when it would randomly drop connection. Now NINA and other programs can't find it at all. The "rescan for USB port" function in the driver software does nothing. I also tried reloading the driver software. Nothing. I suspect a faulty USB circuit board in the focuser body. Unfortunately, FLI no longer makes or supports these focusers. Anyone experiencing this issue find a solution other than turning it into a doorstop? Thanks.

Larry, mine got a bit dicky about a year ago. When I inspected the USB socket it had some rust on the USB terminals and power socket, so I lightly scratched the rust off with a tiny jewelers screwdriver.

Haven't had a problem since.

But it does remind me to check it again in case its rusting again.

Excellent suggestion, Ken! I’ll give it a go.
