Question: I have a Digital Logger- Power Switch Pro that powers up my mount. I have my mount plugged into outlet #2. Is there a way to have NINA power off my scope after running all night long??? If so, how? Appreciate any help.

Figured more likely to get help here since a lot of users here have stated that use the DL-Power Switches.

I'm pretty sure there is an ASCOM driver for those web switches. If it doesn't exist anymore, there's software on DL's site that can allow for creating a script to run assuming NINA can do it.

Hi

I’ve had my gear in a remote hosted observatory for nearly a year  but so far I’ve not found how to disconnect the DL power outlet for the mount via the internet connection. You can have NINA ‘disconnect’ all devices, which disconnects the data connection but I cannot find a way to either shut off mount power altogether or actually disconnect the mount-Nina connection. NINA shows the mount as disconnected but I have to actually go into the TheSkyX itself to make the data disconnection really happen. There’s a bug there somewhere.

The good news is that when I asked others about powering off the Paramount, I was told that folks have left these on for years without problems.

I have not done any testing yet but will do some tonight. I was referred to a specific ASCOM driver for the power switch that will allow NINA to control it. I believe using the NINA instruction 'Set Switch Value' will work. Will test and find out, hoping it does work.

For me, I have a Pegasus box which NINA recognizes as a ‘switch’ so I cannot have another switch device.

Using the above information from my previous post, I was successfully able to load the ASCOM script and using 'set switch' in NINA, able to power down my roof and mount that was plugged into the Data Logger system.  FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

Not using the DL switch, but I use TpLink (Kasa) power bar.  My Nina sequence powers everything down at the end of the sequence using the Ground Station plugin with IFTTT.  I don't know if DL can be operated this way, but it works well.
