Have you created an Equipment Profile in PHD2 ?

Have you installed an ASCOM mount driver ?

Have you selected that in the PHD2 equipment connection ?

Have you tried PHD2 on its own without NINA ?

The problem is not PHD2 or NINA , its the Nexstar+ SE.

maybe a bad USB cable. need more testing,

I'm a bit confused. If PHD2 reportedly works fine on its own and with SGP, that implies that PHD2 has a connection to the mount. Is this not the case?

read the first post... NINA is asking PHD2 for a connection and gets refused by the target machine. ( Celestron nexstar+ SE) then NINA backs out of the attempt. port is open 4400 server is on... it all works perfect on my AVX HC, but not on the SE.

others on Youtube dont have that problem. even CPWI is having problems.

very strange.

If you can connect to the mount in PHD2 and/or NINA and/or CPWI, then it's not the cable. If this is the case and NINA is getting refused by PHD2, it's likely a permissions and/or firewall issue. You may also wish to go to device manager to check the port and make sure that it's set right elsewhere.

Well its the same laptop and the AVX via HC usb cable lets it all pass to PHD2, why not the SE?

i did not change anything but the mount... and its new.

Beats me.

Port numbers can change with a reboot or even the smallest of hardware changes; even just adding a device or using a different USB outlet. That might be the first place to look.
