Was able to give the WO Ultra-Cat 108 a good go last night on the Veil area.   Excellent scope with tight stars to the corners of Full Frame with almost no light fall-off at all.

Equipment:
- Telescope: William Optics Ultra-Cat 108
- Camera: Player One Zeus-M Pro
- Mount: Astro-Physics Mach2 GTO
- Filters: Chroma Blue 50 mm, Chroma Green 50 mm, Chroma H-alpha 3nm Bandpass 50 mm, Chroma OIII 3nm Bandpass 50 mm, Chroma Red 50 mm

Total integration: 4h 53m

Excellent capture! I have the WO Ultra-Cat 108 however I have not been able to capture any images. Once I had it set up the clouds rolled in, figures! First, did you have issues with focusing? I cannot seem to establish the correct length of the imaging train to achieve focus.  Any issues relative to adding the EAF?

Again, great image! Phillip

Excellent, you got a lot of the emissions.  If you’re interested, take another look at your broadband data.  There is a significant amount of dust off the edge of the western Veil (the right side of the frame) that isn’t seen in your image.  It’s probably being suppressed by your mixing in of the narrow band data.  Here’s a couple of links to a broadband only shot that shows the dust:

Thanks, Dean.   The only broadband data is the stars in this image (and you can see the yellow predominant color of the stars in that area), the non-stars are all HOO.   I'm afraid since I only captured 6 minutes each of RGB, I'm not going to find much dust in those images.    But it does give me an idea of something to try on the next clear night smile.gif

I was able to duplicate the light leak with a flashlight, but it didn’t impact this image. Would mainly impact taking darks in high ambient light. WO is updating the STX for all new scopes and I should be getting a new updated STX in a week or so. Customer service has been top notch and admitted the issue and is addressing it.

But optically this scope is fantastic. No complaints there which is what matters most.
