Seeing was a bit better this morning, but it was really hot and humid outside, so I spent little time filming - just the essentials.

Typically for Ha I make a composite image: one for the proms and the other for the disk. But today I thought I'd go back to another approach, one where the tone curve in iMPPG has a 'bump' to start out and then goes linear after that. Here is the result:

Again, GONG only had one image that wasn't hours or days old, and I had to enhance it through GIMP to bring out some detail. A fairly decent shot though, I think.

For WL I used the 'standard' approach: a single (enhanced) snapshot for the FD, and the double 2X Barlow assembly for the zoomed-in images. The triple couldn't come to focus at all today:

The next post will compare the Ha and WL disks side-by-side ...

The WL disk is losing even it's tiny spots, with nothing coming over from the Eastern edge! frown.gif

Nice ones Gary!  It’s a hot one here today too.  My camera chip was at 58.3C by the end of my captures this morning!

Good coverage Gary. You always provide the better than GONG alternative.
It's been rainy then foggy here and I will be away for nearly a week, so will still be following you albeit with less comments.
