For me, the 35 for 2" focusers, and 24 for 1.25" focusers. If I had a scope with a longer f-ratio, I would probably like the 41, but none of my scopes will work with it (exit pupil gets too big....).

Love my 35mm. It, plus a UHC or OIII, give some incredible views.

The 27mm is the only one I have, and so far, I've only gotten to look thru it once for a short time. Stinking clouds.

I own three Panoptics, the 35mm, 24mm, and 19mm. I'd be hard pressed to pick a single favorite. I used to say the the 19mm was my favorite. Under dark skies, the wide field views that the 35mm provides are hard to beat.

I think that with any of the Panoptics, you'll find yourself in a no-lose situation.

I have the 35mm Panoptic and the 22mm T/4 coming can't wait! If is anything like the 24mm Panoptic that will be great! I do have a Tele Vue Paracorr to help it out if needed.

Clear Skies!

Hmmmm...I have the 35mm, 27mm and 22mm. I had the 19 but I sold it when I picked up a 16mm Nag T5. I'll probably re-acquire it again sometime. It's a tough call as to which is the favourite because they are all great EP's within their focal length. Call it a draw. I won't part with any of them, even with the big Nag 31mm in the kit. If forced to, I'd call the 27mm. Perfect exit pupil for my late 30-ish eyes.

Cheers,

- Craig

I agree with Barry, I like the 19mm and the 35mm best, but gosh that 22mm is really sweet too. Maybe I ought to just save up and get them all :) :) :)

I have a 24mm & 41mm. I'd have to say that the 24mm is my favorite. I use it as my finder eyepiece since it gives me an extremely pleasant 25x and 2.6 degrees TFOV. The 41mm is sooo heavy! :bigshock: But those 4.4 degree views are fabulous! The 24mm is much more convenient to use.

I have the Pan 35 and the 27 (sold the 22); my personla fave is the 35, but the 27 spends a lot of time in others' scopes, so somebody likes it...

Pan 24 is my favorite. Pan 22 is nice for f/10 SCTs and making the transition from 1-1/4" to 2" diagonals.

The only Panoptic I have is the 35mm. I bought it because it was the largest FOV I could get in a wide-field eyepiece (the 31 Nagler and 41 Pan weren't out). To be honest, I didn't use it much...I usually use the 20mm Nagler or 16mm Nagler and go up from there in terms of magnification.

However, after using it in my new TV-85, I think that the 35mm Pan is perfect for that scope. I loved using it with a UHC filter to view the Lagoon and Trifid in the same FOV. It's a totally different experience than in my reflectors.

With several scopes of different focal lengths, there is no such thing as a favorite. Most used depends on scope and target, all get used regularly, weather permitting.

I have the 24 Pan (a pair) and the 41 Pan, use the 24 both for binoviewing and for monocular so it gets more use. I owned the 19 Pan, a pair of the 22 Pans, the 27 and the 35, sold them and replaced them with 16 Nagler t5 (pair), 22 Nagler, 24 Pans, 26 and 31 Naglers.

My first and favorite is the 22 Panoptic. I also have the incredible 35 Pan, but haven't used it nearly as much.
