After what seemed like ages, but in reality was less than a week, my Celestron CPC 1100 arrived today. Now, I'm not sayin' it's big, but Whoa! It's a beast, lol!
Not only has it arrived in perfect shape, nary a scratch or scuff to be seen, but the skies are clear, the Moonlite 10:1 went on smooth as butter and my Denk Big Easy and eyepieces have shipped and will arrive this week.
Life is good.
Allow me to introduce The Marino, so named because I had some Frank Marino and Mahogony Rush playing on Pandora Internet Radio when the FedEx guy showed up on my porch...

Congratulations...Very, very nice!
And you say the skies are clear? Uh-oh, that means someone else will have to pay for all this!
Edit: And looking at my CSC...it's me! :bangbangbang:
Enjoy!

Looks great! I'm a little jealous of that spotless corrector plate. Mine came with a tiny piece of styrofoam stuck on the inside. It's still there, but the views are great!

Too bad about the patio roof; that is going to limit your views somewhat.
Be sure to rack the stock focuser in and out all the way a few times.
That moonlite looks hot in that colour.

Thanks everyone, he is cooling out on the deck now waiting for darkness...
The scope had no trouble getting a lock with the GPS out there on the porch, so maybe he can punch through that ceiling! Yeah, the stock focus was a bit crunchy but responded well to racking in and out.
Heading out in a bit, I will post a first light soon.

Very nice ... another C11 in good hands. Great choice on the tunes (from someone who spent his teens in Montreal in the 70s).
Didn't think there were too many Frank fans south of the border.

This time of year we have to start pre-heating our scopes.
