Hi, I want to know if the meade lx600 acf telescope is good in astronomy without x-wedge
It is great for visual, video astronomy and planetary/Lunar/Solar without the wedge.
If you want to get serious about astrophotography you need the wedge.

Yes, Spacetravelerx is right on here. It's a fine scope IMHO, but for any serious photography work you need to have a wedge. I would look into a Milburn wedge as well as the X wedge.
Also, using a wedge requires polar alignment, Not difficult but it involves more set up time if you are using the scope from a tripod, as it must be performed each time you set the scope up. If you are permanently mounting it, it is a moot point.
