Nagler 31

Ethos 13

Ethos 8

Pair of Plossls 15 for binoviewer (Baader tongue2.gif)

Paracorr-2 (I see many mention it here, although it's not an EP)

Planning to get a pair of Panoptics 24 and maybe another Ethos after some time. Also looking for Powermate 2x. I used to have way more of TV eyepieces, but sold ones that I'm not using over the time.

Three (+1 in transit):

25 mm Plössl

13 mm Plössl

11 mm Plössl

7 mm Nagler T6 (in transit)

Although Plössls being an old design, I am very satisfied with those TV eyepieces.

Jürgen

Plossl:  32, 55

Panoptic:  15, 19, 22, 27, 35

Nagler:  2.5, 3.5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 17

Radian:  3

Barlow: 2X

Powermates:  2.5X, 4X

Long time favorites:  22mm Panoptic and 9mm Nagler T1 (Taiwan) both of which cause an immediate relief of any tension that may have crept into my shoulders.

Have:

  • 35 Pan
  • 31 Nag
  • 21 Ethos
  • 19 Pan
  • 11 DeLite
  • 8 Ethos
  • 4.5 Delos
  • 3 DeLite
  • 2X PowerMate

Had:

  • 12 Nagler Type 2
  • 11 TV Plossl
  • 10 Delos
  • 8 TV Plossl
  • 7 Nagler Type 1
  • 6 Delos

Wish I had just kept the 10 Delos and 6 Delos. I sold them to make room for Ethos, but ended up redirecting that money towards house projects.

Right now, I have 6:

Delos 14 (This one is in my main mono viewing box and is competing with a Morpheus 17.5 for the slot)

Pan 24 x2 (for binoviewing)

The next three are on the shelf in boxes and rarely used

Nagler 16 Type 5

Nagler 9 Type 5

Nagler 5 Type 5

31T5, 21E, 13E, 13T6 (sold once & re-bought), 10E, 8 Delos, 6E, 5T6, 4.7E, 3.7E, 3.5T6, 2.5T6 = a dozen

In the Starmaster-

The 21's becoming a favorite to my considerable surprise actually but 100x, 1 degree and 4.1mm exit pupil just works for a lot of objects and fields. The 10, 6 and 4.7 have long been favorites and for large parts of some galaxy observing sessions are the only ep's in the focuser for 210x, 350x and 446x.

I’m surprised that 8D hasn’t been turned into an 8E.

You and I were up in Oklahoma one night several years ago when I had no 8mm and we were looking at something that needed it that night. About then I had a major falling out with my 1st 6E when it repeatedly became lodged in the P2 because that skirt design sucks real bad. I sold it & bought 6 & 8 Delos. I hardly use the 8mm focal length but use 6 all the time. Missing the hyperwide field, I modded the P2 so the 6E would always work and bought another one. And I have an 8mm if I need it and also a Delos if I ever get around to really testing out your opinion that the Delos are just optically better. Like you said, my gear may just not be good enough to see the diff.  smile.gif

17.3mm Delos

19mm Panoptic

21mm smoothie Plossl

17mm smoothie Plossl

2X Barlow

Thinking about selling the Plossls.  They don’t get used much.

13mm and 9mm Nagler on my wish list.

First one: a used 8-24mm zoom for dialing in double stars
Second one: Nagler T6 5mm for looking at those double stars
Third: Nagler T6 7mm because some nights the seeing is mediocre and it doesn’t do to use the 5mm
Fourth one: Delite 11mm for clusters and galaxies
Fifth one: Panoptic 27mm because I got a new scope coming (tomorrow!) that takes 2 inch eyepieces
Next one: probably the Delite 18.2mm ... or the 2x barlow

I bought a 17mm smoothie Plössl a couple of years ago, and liked it so much I got another. I now have pairs of 7.4, 10.5, 13, 17, 21 (mostly Circle R), the current 25mms, and a 32mm.

So 11 total.

When my kids are out of college maybe I'll see about an Ethos or two, or whatever amazing thing Al Nagler and his team have designed by then.

35 Panoptic

21 Ethos

17 Ethos

13 Ethos  Most used.

10 Ethos

  8 Ethos

  6 Delos

4.5 Delos

Used the 21 last night with the AP130GTX to manually track the ISS as it passed overhead.  Cool to think there are 5 souls aboard.

One for now - 13 Ethos.

May have none if views in the ES 12mm 92-deg are comparable to those of the 13 Ethos in the 10” truss dob and coma corrector I’m waiting for from ES.

I also have a 5x Powermate

How many Tele Vue EPs do I have:  25   (If I counted counted correctly)

Most used:  25mm Plossl   (for navigation purposes)

Least used: 11mm Plossl   (I have a 11mm Nagler)

Current Favourite:    7mm Delite

Time honoured favourite: 19mm Widefield

How many Tele Vue EPs: About a bakers dozen.

Most used: 21mm Ethos (Finder Scope & wide field)

Least used: 55mm Plossl (Keeping in case I get a Mod 3C)

Current Favourite:  4.7mm Ethos (At high power ~730x a 110FOV is very useful)

Time honoured favourite: 13mm Ethos,  (Never forget when that came out - Wow!!)

One of TV's best kept secrets:  3-6mm Nagler zoom

Wish List  A TV equivalent that will beat the Zeiss Abbe II's  (Come on Uncle Al, we know you can do it)

I hope I never said that.

I figured it was due your falling out with your Ethos and you ended up with some Delos there for a moment. I was sure you would have kissed and made up by now and gone back full time to the Ethos.
