Both shots are great. Im am intrigued by astrophotography. However I am equally intimidated.

I'm not intimidated by the thot of A/P... i'm petrified! I observe with a couple o'guys who are big-time into A/P, and it looks far more like work than pleasure. That, plus i'd have to learn a whole new language- comprised mostly of terminology that our T.O.S. & good decorum bans.

My hat's definitely off to those who endure such rigors to achieve results; am thinkin' it's a personality thang...
I simply prefer my photons collected, reflected, but uncooked.

Well said. I obviously can't even truly understand the rigors that go along with AP as I've never seen it done. But man it sure appeals to me. Got to win the lottery to afford the appropriate equipment.
