I'm thinking of buying the SkyQ 2 wifi module for my Nexstar 6 (no wires, no batteries, etc), but I have not found a list of supported software.

I know SkySafari and SkyPortal are supported,  but I like to have a more comprehensive list. I mainly use OS X and IOS.

Thanks,

I don't have SkyQ 2, just the first SkyQ that Celestron released - and what a fiasco that was. As far as I'm aware, only SkySafari works with OS X/ iOS/ Andriod - the Celestron offerings are crested by the SkySafari outfit and are iOS only. TheSky X doesn't support SkyQ as far as I know; Bisque have their own proprietary WiFi module...unlike them [sark/].

I prefer the SkyFi module from the makers of SkySafari. To me it's been far more reliable than SkyQ; maybe SkyQ 2 is betterererer?

Note: The Mac version of SkySafari currently doesn't support SkyQ Link or the Evolution mounts.  We don't have a definite time frame for when that support will be added.

Thanks for the clarification. This leads me to another question, is there any difference between SkyFi and StarSeek?. They seem to be basically the same (I need it for my Nexstar 6 and Amazon only sells the StarSeek module).

Thanks again.

StarSeek is just SkyFi rebranded for Orion.  The main difference is that if you buy StarSeek, you need to get support through Orion rather than Simulation Curriculum.
