AzMaxLoad Mount single arm Version

Tele Optik discontinued years ago the super strong made Giro XXL azimuth mount but too many customers asked us for such XXL mount, we decided to design a new one.

Technical datas:

Mount:

    bottom diameter 180 mm = 7.1 inch
horizontal axis: diameter 50 mm, made from Stainless Steel V2A as friction axis in central part and at both ends with 50 mm = 2 inch axial-needel-bearing
vertical axis: 180 mm = 7.1 inch gliding on teflon. Bottom and top part is pre-loadet with a 45 mm = 1.772 inch axial-needel-bearing
telescope attachment arm: diameter 60 mm = 2.362 inch, made from Alu AlMgSi1
distance from center of mount to end of arm = 200 mm = 7.874 inch
total height of mount from bottom side to top of central locking screw is 160 mm = 6.3 inch
total length of mount from side of shaft attachment to end of telescope arm = 305 mm = 12 inch
side telescope arm has 2 threads Metric M6 with center to center spacing of 35 mm like Tele Optik GR2 DX and GR3 DX , so same quick release holder can be used.
    weight: 8.15 kg = 17.93 lbs

Counterweight shaft

    made from Stainless Steel V2A
    diameter 30 mm
    length 277 mm
    weight 1600 grams = 3.52 lbs

Loading capacity:
very difficult to say weights, we all know it depends on the tripod and lenght and size of scopes. From my experience, if the mount is sitting on a real strong tripod, like our Tele Optik , this mount will hold very solid a Celestron C14, a APM Apo 7", a APM Achromat 8", on a strong pier, 50 kg, 120 lbs or more shall be really no problem.

Delivery contains

    Mount with counterweight shaft

US $ 995 include shipping...delivery time some weeks

ask for optional accessories , like a second arm, counter weights, guide mount, etc.

Hi,

What is the connection to the tripod?   I have a Berlebach Uni 18 with a flat top and 3/8 x 16 post.

So, just wondering what size hole the mount has and if it is flat and can be used with my Uni?

Thanks.

James.

Marcus,

Can DSC encoders be added to this mount?

It looks like a solid mount.

Thanks!

No thats not going to happen because this mount is Not a serial production , we build it on order only a few pieces per year.

DSC you find on the T-Rex and DM6 mounts

Will this mount connect to a ATS 8" diameter pier?  I'm assuming a special adapter can be made?

Thanks,

Dan

Perhaps consideration to analog setting circles could be considered? I know I would be quite interested in one if that could be accomplished.

So no potential for manual setting circles?

it depends on what you want to load onto the mount , we can match the mount to any tripod you like

- Losmandy G11 Tripod

- Berlebach K70 Tripod

and any other strong one you wish

I got a fiberglass surveyor's tripod to use with my AZ8, which is very similar to this mount. Very sturdy when I used it with my APM 140ED with 10# counterweight on the other side. Only down side is adapting it to accept the mount head. Wasn't a big problem.
