I have absolutely no knowledge of microscopes. I want to get one eventually but don't know what to get. I don't know what to look at. And I don't know what accessories I need. Could you please help me out and kind of show me around.

Thanks

Like telescopes - optical quality, eye relief, binoviewer, and general build quality come into play.

Check out Microbe Hunters. Some really good people. They are the microscope equivalent to Cloudy Nights.

First you have to decide low or high power. Then study up on some of terms so you know what you are getting . That is how I did it.
