I put down some of that foam, interlocking mat stuff. It goes down pretty quick. I like it because it covers up my wiring I had taped down to the floor.

I also got rid of the red cart, and moved the computer to some shelves on the wall. I can actually walk all the way around the mount now without a minefield of wires!

Look'in good Hubert!

I should get some of that floor stuff. But I'll need to cut it to fit the circular walls.

Nice job! That foam flooring is great. I have it in my obs and under my gym equipment in the basement. Nice and easy on the feet.

It's pretty easy to cut, I used an Exacto knife.

Actually, it's plastic floor that came as a part of the building. It's sitting on treated wood frame.

That's nice stuff. I have indoor/outdoor carpeting, but I'm thinking that your solution is much better.

That is pretty simple to do - my wife and I had no problem cutting the tiles to fit circular floor of my dome. It was one of the easiest things I've done in there, honestly.

Hubert; I used the same type of foam interlocking flooring in my observatory. It is nice to have the cushion effect for errant eyepieces etc. However I had the problem of developing electrostatic shocks whenever i touched the telescope. It was enough to mess my controller up a couple of times. What I did to resolve the ESD was to mix fabric softener and water(1:4) and spray the floor. It has been over a month now and no ESD anymore. Hope you don't experience any ESD, if you do I hope this might help.

I already have a gallon of "Mountain Lake". This was totally unintentional, even though I live on a lake!

Nice tip! I have gotten a couple of shocks myself, I'll try this. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip, Mike! We usually have that problem in the early fall.
