From time to time the USB cable that connects to the autoguider 's port wiggles loose and disconnects.....Does anyone have any suggestions or modifications that can help solve this problem?

A USB cable with a right angle A connector should do the trick.

Edit: Sorry, that should be a right angle B connector.

You might also look at Velcro cable ties and tie the cable to the scope or rings. This is what I have been using.

For sure that is a good method.
Also as important, it relieves the stress on the sockets which are not designed to take twisting/pulling loads.

Would you please post a photo of how you do this with your set-up?......
