Anytime I have purchased a scope that came with 0.965" ep's, I keep them (if they are metal anyway). I almost always use those eyepieces in my scopes that have those size focusers. The views are always great, even if eye relief is sometimes tight.

It's one of the few times I become truly nostalgic about things, and so I "suffer" with the older, smaller eyepieces. But I really don't mind using them at all. I rather enjoy it.
