In moving inventory to our new store, we discovered more Celestron 9.25" optical tubes than the computer said we had. Regularly $1369, freight paid, we're pricing them at $1099 while quantities last to get our actual inventory back down to what the computer thinks it should be. They are the current standard 9.25" OTAs, not the EdgeHD version, and have Starbright XLT multicoatings, a CGE/Losmandy D-plate style dovetail, and all standard accessories.
Here's a link: LINK
Quantities are limited to the amount of our overstock. Since they are priced below dealer cost, there are unfortunately no additional discounts available.

Fred, people may be interested to know if they have Fastar.

There is no way to tell from the marking of the outside of the box. Celestron has no designation of serial number difference.

This was the one question had too. What's the return policy if I get the OTA and it's not fastar capable?

That seems kinda strange.....Are there not two versions? How would a dealer know which he was selling?

Celestron started making the switch on their current models at random. The 14" has always had two models and two different part numbers. The rest have not.
There are not two version, they are converting all inventory to fastar at some point from what I understand.
As the OTA is not implied to have fastar we feel it is an added bonus if it is there. The price is so good we didn't really think it would be that big a deal.

If I'm not mistaken, the C9.25 in this thread was not made with a Fastar option. I think Celestron started finally making the 9.25 Fastar option with the Edge. You might check with Starizona to see if they have an adapter to make the 9.25 Fastar compatible.
Edit: I just checked the Starizona site. They do not have an adapter kit for the C9.25. They do have a Hyperstar for the new Edge version, however.

I bought one of the last C9.25s made in America 4.5 years ago As I recall Faststar was not a option. David
