Ummm... I've been working on these for the Mod and Admin crew for a while, and am offering them to the general CN population at Ron's suggestion...

Thanks for the offer; however, I've been playing with several methods over the past few days, and the screen captures are actually easier that trying to resize & manipulate the original avatar photos. To paraphrase the comment I made in the Mod forum: "Sure, I can use the original photos - and the badges should be ready by Christmas."

The "my idea" comment was just because I was the first in this thread to ask about identifying ourselves to others, and it was light-hearted... I think the original ideal dates back to one of the NEAF posts from years gone by.

I'm going to try to attend that, at least on one day at any rate! It'll be closer than PATS was (although I enjoyed PATS), and I'll even try to remember to bring my "hm insulators" name tag.

The deadline for badge requests will be Sunday, 28Oct. It does take me some time to build each badge, and then I have to send them off to the printers (in this case, Ron (rboe) and Steve (Watermaster)). I don't want to be putting badge images together as I'm on my way out the door for Tucson.
We will have some blank badges availabe; they'll have the CN header, and space to write your name. Either stop by the CN booth, or check with the guy wearing the cowboy hat (Ron)...

Fixed - but that doesn't help things much. Met Ron in person yesterday; I recognised him more from the motorcycle he was riding than from his avatar pic.
Maybe because he was wearing a helmet, and not a cowboy hat...

All Joe had to ID himself with was a cup of joe. Not helpful at a coffee place. Not helpful at all. To top it off he approaches me while I'm still on the bike to talk bike and point out I may be blocking him. With my new bike I get that a lot. So again, not helpful.
