Just an FYI as a lot of us bought this scope over the summer at a great sale price!
I just got my first view of the 1st. QTR moon last night with my WO BV at is was great. The entire disc just fit nicely in the FOV of mt 26mm SP EP's @ 60x.
A very sharp view for sure and can't wait to use it on Jupiter this fall

Sounds good. Same binos, same tube here. Have been APing the moon with it. $59.00 well spent.

How did you set up this binoviewer with your scope? I have this scope, WO binoviewer and the 26 sp's. Did you shorten the tube? Can you tell us your configuation at the observing end?

They won't reach focus without the OCS unless you do one of two things..
Shorten the tube by about 1", or change the focuser.
I am using a Mark V (123mm light path) and a T2 prism (40mm of light path) and can reach focus with all eyepiece pair.
A standard 1.25" diagonal will have a light path that is about 70mm to 75mm, and a WO or similar will have a light path of about 110mm, so this is about 185mm vs 163mm or so for my configuration.
This means that you would need maybe 22mm of in travel to be similar.
I believe that the shorter focuser is over 1" shorter.
This is in one of the treads on the refractor forum regarding this scope, but I forget which one.

So instead of cutting the tube, the other option of a changing the focuser sounds better and also would be sturdier and also gaining the 10:1 option.
I'm talking about the Agena GSO Dual Speed Crayford 10:1
It states this as the length of it from the base of the scope to where the 2" EP or diagonal inserts.
Minimum focuser height (without 1.25" adapter but with base flange) = 111mm (4.37”)
I measure the stock R & P focuser that came with the scope and I get 4.5" length. Adding the 1.25 adpt. is 5"
So I'm not really sure if upgrading the focuser is going to give me the additional back focus I'm going to need with either the 1.25" WO BV set-up or the 2" Denk set up? I don't mind upgrading the focuser overall, but don' want to spend a bunch more on another diagonal/prism and more adapters.
Then there is whole other option of using my 80ED to BV instead of the 102g all together. Just would like to be able to use one of them as a Grab'n Go scope with the ability to BV as well.

Check the Refractor forum. Someone I think did this and has the result.
It is in one of the long threads abuut th2 102. One of the threads is something like 45 pages and the other is something like 16 pages.
I forget which one it was in, but it was near the end.. Within the last 5 or 6 pages I think.
I can't remember if they were using WOs or Maxbright though.
Anyway, the details are there. Was not my scope. I cut mine.

Yes Ed a lot of that info is over on the Refractor forum on these scopes. One fellow states that using a GSO focuser saves him 26mm of back focus over the stock rack n pinion one but another with this set up says he still has to use the 1.6x barlow to get the WO to focus.
I guess this is the only way short of cutting the scope. If I use the Denk 2 in it I'm going to have 2.3x OCS which is quite a bit more then the 1.6x...well that's straight through. With the reducer arm in place it get a lot less, down to 1.3x.....so decisions, decisions.
So do I keep both and just use the WO in my two refractors and the Denk in the SCT and 10" Dob or sell the WO and use the Denk in all e scopes?
