Think we both got lucky, I'm looking forward to a return trip to California, good weather, and picking up our 3.5" Questar which was delivered to a friend for us.

I feel pretty blessed and a little bit lucky. I purchased a mint Quantum 6 (#237 out of 288). It was shipped today and will be here later next week.

Great find Terry. I had three of them, if my back was not giving me problems, I would be on the hunt for another one. All three were of equal quality.
The only snag, if you would call it that, is that as far as I know there's no one reputable that works on Quantum's anymore.
I called Davro awhile back, and was quoted a price that was out of this world, just to examine a Q-4
I can't remember the exact price, but I posted it here on this site.
Lets hope it will not need any work done to it.

So far mine looks fine, but some Q-4's & Q-6's I see for sale note that they have this problem.

1) Did you ever find a good matching paint color?
2) Could you repost you restoration guide (nicely written!) with images or PM it to me??
3) somehow it eluded me that you were keeping a SN list: I'll send you my Q6 SN by the weekend.
Thanks,
Peter

The original color may have faded over time so it is important to match the color to what it currently is; not to the factory color.
Regards
And I think that is why the original Duplicolor Ford Midnight Blue T218 does not match even though it was the original color. When I get back home I will add a picture showing 2 parts I repainted and how close the match was.
Peter, I will send you the document this evening.
