Most of you probably know about this already, but just in case.

I have been looking for a Genesis owners manual, could not find one.

Called TV today, they have the old manuals for sale- Genesis and Pronto for sure.

Five dollars and free shipping. Cannot beat the price and service.

I wonder if they have one for the Oracle 3?
I've had mine for 25 years and I still can't get the lens cap off.

I'm a TV fan but in this instance I really think they should just have the manual available for download (pdf) from their site like they do for most of their other scopes (including recent discontinued scopes like the TV60is and the 102) - instead of charging you 5 bucks

Well, as I also discussed the possibility of download on its website, even if producer already discontinued, a brand with prestige in the astronomical world as this. Another issue is that there is no way to contact them by email, only on the phone, but what if you do not speak your language?

Since I have no hope of getting the guide, it was only to see the information.

Company7 has loads of info on the TV scopes.. alas no Genesis the earliest docu is about the TV-101, There is a lot of mentioning the Genesis.

I really don't know what secrets the manual would hold?
Yeah you have the screw on top of the focuser, you can slide the dewshield and you can turn the focus knobs.. that is about it?

Yeah, not really much to put in a manual for a refractor. When Roland was asked why he didn't have a nice manual for his refractors instead of a couple page document he laughed and said he didn't build telescopes for idiots. :D

In the translation sounds very ugly comment. I will not discuss the degree of intellectuality of any person in this place, it's about having an attachment to a range of curiosity. Today never need this document to operate this equipment.

About 10 or 12 years ago, I acquired a gently used Genesis SDF, and it came with out a manual.
I wrote a nice letter to Televue, and put it in the snail mail asking for any information on the SDF.
A few weeks later my letter was returned with a hand written note from Al Nagler thanking me for such a nice letter. He also told me that they did not have any SDF manuals available but sent me a TV101 manual and said that it was essentially the same telescope.
But in the end the manual will not tell you anything about your Televue telescope that you could not find on line.
Remove lens cap, insert eyepiece.... Enjoy.
That's what I love about Televue scopes.
Simplicity.

Well you missed out 2 very important steps.... insert Diagonal before the eyepiece, then turn focus knob until a sharp image is seen :p
I've actually had a person tell me once a scope was spoilt (day observation)- it simply wasn't in focus!
