Here is an image I am pretty pleased with. I had some real goof ups when I initially captured the Ha for this, so I kind of shot myself in the foot with the framing. My Ha data for this was the first light for my QSI in August and I'm not sure what happened, but I didn't frame it right and to be honest, didn't think about framing nearly as much way back then as I do now. However, after some flipping and rotating, and tweaking, and cropping a lot, I found what I think is a pleasant presentation. I played with the color a lot on this one before deciding on the current pallet. I like the Veils when they are bright. :) I created a synthetic lum and synthetic green with Ha and OIII blended, did some tonemapping, layered on some RGB stars and here you have it. I may take another pass at this before too long, but I'd like to get an SII filter on the way before that. Another bright spot is I went 11/11 on 45 minute subs for the OIII on this one without any issues or having toss any and got the histogram just off the wall. New sweet spot from home I believe. As always, comments and critiques much appreciated. Thanks for looking!

[edit] forgot to post this above. I'd like to start including a channel animation for every image as I think it would be helpful for others to see what is being captured. Kind of an homage to Bill Snyder and his presentation style which I'd like to draw heavily on when I get a site up and running.

Beautiful. I think this one really stands out with bicolor. Channel animation is very interesting. Len

Very nice!  I'm also considering bumping up above 30m subs for Oiii.  Unfortunately, that means 3 subs a night for my most recent target.

Very nice processing. As for the framing, that isn't the Veil, it's the Fishhook! :)

Thanks Mad, Adam, and Len! Mad, I just needed a different perspective. A fish hook it is. :)

Thanks Hytham, Anis, and Puck! I thought the colors were a bit bold, but I also thought this image called for it. Glad you guys like them!

The color certain catch lots of attention, but it was doing so without going overboard.

Outstanding. Love the blending with the RGB stars.   22 out of 22 at 45 minutes each.  That is some darn good tracking and guiding.  Would love to see a mosaic with the entire eastern veil in it.

Thank you very much Jeff! I don't need a mosaic, I just needed to frame it better. It actually fits perfect. I ran my Ha the night I got my QSI and misframed it because I was too excited to get going. :)

Ah, Gotcha.  When it fits perfect, you have to be perfect with the framing.   I always like to have a little extra space around my target, because I am never perfect with my framing.  One of these days I will work on framing using plate solving, but so far I just have not had time to mess with it.

Yes, I've finally got my new CFL ML auto focuser installed, so I'm being forced into making the change over go SGP and its framing and mosaic wizard. :)
