Here is an image I am pretty pleased with. I had some real goof ups when I initially captured the Ha for this, so I kind of shot myself in the foot with the framing. My Ha data for this was the first light for my QSI in August and I'm not sure what happened, but I didn't frame it right and to be honest, didn't think about framing nearly as much way back then as I do now. However, after some flipping and rotating, and tweaking, and cropping a lot, I found what I think is a pleasant presentation. I played with the color a lot on this one before deciding on the current pallet. I like the Veils when they are bright.
I created a synthetic lum and synthetic green with Ha and OIII blended, did some tonemapping, layered on some RGB stars and here you have it. I may take another pass at this before too long, but I'd like to get an SII filter on the way before that. Another bright spot is I went 11/11 on 45 minute subs for the OIII on this one without any issues or having toss any and got the histogram just off the wall. New sweet spot from home I believe. As always, comments and critiques much appreciated. Thanks for looking!
[edit] forgot to post this above. I'd like to start including a channel animation for every image as I think it would be helpful for others to see what is being captured. Kind of an homage to Bill Snyder and his presentation style which I'd like to draw heavily on when I get a site up and running.
