Dear all

Thought I might as well start off my first post with something completely useless

So here's my setup - please note the clever scope cooling solution and the light pollution filter mounted in front of the observers lens

I can't get the camera far enough away in the observatory to get it all in, but here's a few pics anyway:

Close up of the Starlight Instruments FeatherTouch MicroFocuser knob upgrade. ;> I love this thing

Well, there's the beginning of my new setup. Thought I'd finally share after taking pictures today. I finally got the beast out today for a little while. My lil' one was with me so I couldn't do too much observing :) cause he got mad. Soon though! Soon!

Looks good Gandalf!
Lottery numbers must have come good in the end!
What did you do with your nice AR6?
Very nice setup though! I'm envious but I eventually got my 6"Achro(TS152 f8) and a Meade LXD75 SN8 to keep me happy over the summer months.

Lets just hope this crud weather in the UK shifts soon!

Okay, Might as well share a picture of my new toy too...As the sharp eyed observer can tell, I have the LX200R which I upgraded to from an early LX200GPS model.

Just purchased 10" LX200R. Where did you get the case with wheels? I would like to have same. Nice!

JMI makes cases for the 10" LX200, which have little caster wheels built in. (not like the big ones seen on the cases for the larger scopes)

I don't particularly like mine, but it is kinda the only thing out there. By the way, I originally bought the case when I had the 10" LX200GPS, and when I traded in the GPS for the LX200R, I found that the form factor of the LX200R is slightly different than the GPS, so I had to make some modifications to the interior foam so that the LX200R would fit. At any rate, I am not sure if JMI has a specific model for the LX200R scopes yet, so be aware, that you may have to hack on the foam a bit for your scope to fit...

Regards,
Marty

Yep - it's very stable during use, but it does tend to 'settle' over a prolonged period.

Cheers

Don't have any pictures of my brief interaction with my LX200R but I really enjoyed all the pictures of everybody's setups.
