I just got my two Seibert planespherics in the mail wednesday.

These are my first speciality EP's  ever & I'm hoping for 1st lite

on this weekend. The 1st quarter moon will be just south of Jupiter

which might be a lot of light somewhere dark but to me it means

two good tests. A good chance to compare all my EP's really.

Hope it comes off OK.

I have a ES 5.5 100 I use for deep sky and planets on a 12.5" dob.  Would it be worth also getting a specialty ep just for viewing planets in the 5mm to 6mm range or would the difference be too marginal to be worth it?

Cat:  I too get excited about trying new eyepieces.  I have a 13Ethos waiting for a clear night (hopefully before I die).

Dog:  On axis probably not a lot....off axis depends on the scope.....

OMG, we're being invaded by housepets!!!!  Doggies, and Kitties and Zillas, oh my!
