hello
i send to you my best images of sun taken during 2011 and 2012.
setup : C.14 + 0.5 A h-alpha daystar filter lended by HDRsoft + off axis red filter 150 mm + reducer F/6.3.
basler aca 1300 camera with 30 img/sec
process by registax6, avistack, CS5 and photomatix pro with exposure fusion.

Phil, absolutely stunning images! For self-made filters obtaining this level of high resolution, you should really consider custom making and selling them to people. Can't wait to see part2. Thanks for posting them

Alex, here an image of the 150 mm self made coronograph on a big secia mount (very good precision)
lenses made in BK7, first one 150 mm F/15 lightly aspherical and the second one 64 mm F/2 hardly aspherical also.
then a 100 mm doublet (25mm diameter) and h-alpha filter 5 A bandpass.
for a normal coronograph, you have to use mine lens as possible (ideal 3 or 4 lenses)
first lens can be realised with schott red filter (610 or 630 nm) max

That mount is like nothing I've ever seen :bigshock:
Please, you have to post more about your coronagraphs in the ATM section with lots of pics :).
So few amateurs build this scopes it would be a fantastic inspiration to us all, especially with such results :bow:.
